Informative and trustworthy imagery
Jón Rúnar Guðjónsson, the Icelander living in Denmark – whom you might remember as the guy who captured a volcano eruption with a thermal device – is not the one to tell long stories (although he has many). So, when asked what he thought of the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro, he went straight to the point: “It’s the best thermal spotting scope available.”
We didn’t want to leave him alone just yet and kindly asked him to elaborate a bit. Here’s what he added: “The image is crisp, clear, and the device has long battery life. You can easily detect race, age, and sex, making conscious decisions which and if an animal should be harvested. Besides your dog, it becomes your best friend while hunting wild boar.”
Here are some facts to support Jón Rúnar’s statement. The crisp and clear image comes from the aforementioned thermal sensor with <25 NETD and 640×480 pixel resolution @ 17 µm. Now, in simpler terms, this means that you can enjoy enhanced identification of animals, their extremities, and even the smallest details, i.e., branches, leaves, grass, and terrain. This also applies to harsh weather conditions – rain, fog, or cold mornings, when temperature differences are low.
When it comes to the battery, we’ve upgraded it to deliver you up to 8 hours of continuous operation. And if that’s not enough, you can upgrade to an even more powerful battery and enjoy up to 16 hours of operation.

Phenomenal clarity

A device you won’t want to leave behind
Since they say three is a lucky number, let’s add the German hunter Maximillian Schutz to the mix. His quick answer, when asked about the Helion 2 XP50 Pro, was that he doesn’t want to hunt without one. The main advantage is the ability to spot game earlier and address it better, day or night, making the spotter a must-have device for Max.
We’ve started this article with praise for Helion’s thermal sensitivity, but as you can see from the hunters’ feedback, there is a reason for it. It is so powerful, detailed, and trusty that no praise is too much, perhaps. Try it for yourself, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised – trust us on that.
