What happens when you bring some of the most passionate hunters and Pulsar fans together for three days of collaboration, celebration, and some friendly competition? You get stories worth sharing, memories worth framing, and inside jokes too good to repeat.
That’s a pretty good preview of the annual Pulsar ambassadors’ meeting. But if you’d like to delve deeper, keep reading to find out how we spent time with hunters from Europe, the US, South Africa, and Australia.
Every year, we start the official part of the ambassadors’ meeting with a factory tour. By now, it has become a rite of passage that puts action behind the “European craftsmanship” label.
“It might sound funny, but it’s not as much about the technology. It’s always about the people – about the people who are using the technology and building it,” shares Krzysztof Turowski, our Polish brand ambassador who joined the program at the very beginning.
And with this, he nailed the main reason for these meetings: here, the fancy equipment and machinery take a back seat. What hunters take away is a deeper appreciation for the precision behind the manufacturing process. They get a chance to meet the real people behind their thermal imaging devices, observe them assembling and testing units, and understand just how much effort goes into making outstanding products.
After the factory tour, we left Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and home to Pulsar Vision HQ. Our next stop was the Zala Arms shooting range, where hunters got to test their accuracy in four different challenges: plates with a 12-gauge, running boar with a 6.5 Creedmoor, and two still targets – one with a .308 and another with a 17 HMR.
While the competition was friendly, once hunters learned that the prize for the best performance was an Oryx LRF XG35, the tension rose quickly. The range filled with the unmistakable scent of adrenaline, gunpowder, and focus. After a few hours of loading, aiming, and cheering, it was Mitchell Graf who took the gold medal and the main prize. And while the American ambassador stayed humble throughout the weekend, no one could deny that the dedicated hunter, competitive shooter, and firearms enthusiast showed true class in his performance.
And while, sadly, not everyone could snag first place, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the process. For some, like Matthias Schultner from Germany, it was the competitive aspect that stood out. Although he admits to being a little disappointed with the results, as a competitive person, he appreciated the challenge. Matthias’ colleague Claudia Breit, on the other hand, focused on not letting the pressure get to her: “When I get into a competition situation, I become nervous, so here, I told myself that it was just for fun. And I had a great time.”
Anyone who has ever attended the Pulsar Ambassadors’ meeting will attest that it’s not your typical conference – here, people don’t just gather to listen. They gather to discuss and share their feedback. You can see how important Pulsar is to every single person in the room, and that everyone is willing to put in the effort to make it even better. “We are hunting in different places, on different continents even, so there’s a lot of experience we can share and learn from each other,” explains Krzysztof.
So, it was no surprise that each keynote turned into a heated discussion filled with insights we took back to the office. Some of the highlights included a deep look into our product lineup: Krzysztof shared his (and his fellow hunters’) perspective, while we were excited to give sneak peeks of upcoming products (sorry though, that information is still confidential!). Later on, we also invited the hunters to test the current lineup and try out the devices they haven’t had the chance to yet.
We also hosted an extensive hands-on workshop about the future of thermal vision. Then, it was time for Stefan Orman, a Swedish hunter and shooting instructor, to step on stage and share some practical tips for advanced shooting.
Since most of the ambassadors work with content creation, we dedicated some time to improving those skills as well. First, a social media agency shared their insights on the latest platform trends, tips on fostering community, and strategies for reaching a wider audience. Then, Night Vision Viking, a long-term member of the Pulsar family, followed with inspiring examples of how to create photos and videos that truly stand out.
Of course, no meeting would be complete without plenty of time for networking, making new friendships, and strengthening old ones. With this bunch, sparking a conversation is easy – even those attending for the first time were instantly pulled into heated discussions and playful banter.
Hunters spent hours sharing stories by the giant fireplace, enjoying wonderful meals prepared for us by a Green Michelin-starred chef at the Red Brick restaurant, and bonding over successes and failures well into the morning. It was the first time we invited ambassadors to Farmer’s Circle, an eco-farm in Lithuania, and the location turned out to be ideal. Andrea Lysvold from Norway highlighted two key points: “The food was absolutely amazing – the chefs did a really great job. And the area is really cozy, we’re just by ourselves here, and we can socialize freely.”
From the first glance, the annual ambassadors’ meeting might seem like just another event. But for everyone attending, it’s so much more. It would be hard to find more dedicated people who are willing to spend their time and share their knowledge to help improve our devices even further.
Our ambassadors are often the first to come to us with feedback on new releases and ideas for what’s next. But having dedicated meetings like this allows us to look deeper into the industry, reflect on the path we’re taking, and stay aligned with our mission to lead. Without these people, Pulsar would be a very different company.
And it’s amazing to hear that the Pulsar family feels just as positive. As Andrea admitted, “If it wasn’t for this family, I wouldn’t have 50% of my best friends.” Or, as Matthias summed up: “When the right people come together, a lot of good things can happen. Not only personally, but also for the development of the company and devices.”
