It’s hard to sum up briefly, as so much has changed in my workflow. Using thermal binoculars has completely transformed my approach. I can spot animals earlier, position myself for the best composition without disturbing them, and significantly improve the chances of capturing the perfect shot.

Absolutely. I bring a thermal device on every trip, and I use it on most of them. It saves a lot of time, enhances efficiency, and greatly increases the odds of taking amazing photos.
Plenty! Most recently, I spotted a lynx. I’ve also come across bears, wolverines, martens, eagle owls, and other owl species. On a daily basis, I typically encounter foxes, moose, and reindeer during photo tours.
Very much so! Being out in the wilderness connects us all, regardless of our focus. I also grew up with hunting here in northern Sweden and often eat locally sourced meat—primarily moose and reindeer from family and friends who hunt. So, being in this community feels completely natural to me.
It’s an incredible team, full of great people. The atmosphere is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth—the perfect fit for me. While I stay in touch with many ambassadors, my geographic location makes in-person collaboration difficult. Still, I see so much potential for teamwork, especially as a photographer working alongside hunters.
One big advantage is getting hands-on experience with a range of thermal devices. This has helped me find the ideal tools for my work—something that would have been much harder without being part of the team.
Another invaluable perk is the knowledge-sharing within the group. The insights I’ve gained from other ambassadors have influenced how I use thermal devices, adding new perspectives to my work.
Authenticity is key. Any product I endorse must feel like a natural extension of my everyday life. I need to genuinely use and benefit from it—not just see it as a paycheck. This authenticity is crucial for me to speak honestly about how I incorporate the product into my routine.
That’s why working with Pulsar feels so rewarding. I can share my experiences openly and honestly, without any need for embellishment.
If you’re ready to embrace the same opportunities as Magnus—meeting like-minded individuals and gaining early access to Pulsar devices—apply to become a Pulsar ambassador by February 5. Whether you’re a hunter, explorer, photographer, or nature enthusiast, if thermal vision is or could become a part of your life, don’t wait—join our family today!
Before purchasing any night or thermal vision device, please make sure you adhere to the local legislation and only use it when it is allowed. Our ambassadors come from various countries and travel a lot, which allows them to test different devices. We do not encourage or support the illegal use of our devices in any events.
