At Pulsar, we have a pretty decent array of riflescopes. There are three main families – Talion, Thermion, and Digex. Talion is fully thermal, Thermion, depending on the model, can be thermal or multispectral, and Digex is digital with 24/7 use. They are all amazing in their own right, so today, we’d like to share why while discussing their advantages and taking into account hunters’ opinions.

Thermion Duo – control the time of day
Pulsar‘s Thermion Duo is a line of powerful and sleek riflescopes that give the ability to instantly switch from daytime digital to thermal vision with one press of a button. With a 4K full-color sensor for daytime hunting that can clearly draw objects at distances of 10 meters and over and a high-sensitivity thermal imaging sensor with 640×480 pixel resolution and < 25 mK NETD, this scope is sure to impress even the most skeptical of hunters.
Currently, there are two Duo models in the range – DXP50 and DXP55. DXP50 has the same base magnification (2x) and field of view (12.4 degrees at 100 meters) for both channels. DXP55, meanwhile, has a 2x base magnification in the thermal channel and 4x in the digital. With the same 12.4-degree at 100 m thermal FoV, it has a 6.1-degree daytime digital FoV, making it a go-to choice for hunters who aim at smaller targets from larger distances. It’s this model that stole the heart of Phil Taylor, a British hunter: “I like the DXP55 more because it’s got a higher base mag, and for the purposes of shooting in the UK, I think it sort of serves itself more to the market.”

The high-power riflescope is designed to aid the hunter at any time of day, as well as any weather condition – from the sunniest of days to the stormiest of nights. Talion – you’ll barely even feel it
The Talion series of riflescopes have already made a big impression on hunters. Not just because of its easily accessible menu wheel on top of the eyepiece or the high-sensitivity thermal sensor but also due to the very light weight of the riflescope. Erica Egonsson from Sweden believes that this specific feature of the Talion is exceptional and can be really useful “on close encounters with wild boars and in fields with tall crops.“
Stefan Orman from Sweden noted that the compact and light design of the Talion makes it “extremely user-friendly for an all-round stalking scope“ and thinks that the thermal scope is amazing for “wild boar hunters or hunters who need to be able to move a lot”.
In the Talion line, you will now find Talion XG35 and Talion XQ35 Pro. The latter is the newest addition to the family, designed to replace the previously-available Talion XQ38. The XQ35 Pro is best used for close to medium -distance hunting. XG35, with a detection range up to 1750m, allows for aiming from longer distances. It’s also worth noting that the XQ35 Pro, being the most sensitive riflescope out of the two, is a great choice for those who often find themselves hunting in unfavorable weather conditions and seek a device that’s compact body packs uncompromised image detail. Not to mention that it’s the most affordable riflescope of the whole Pulsar range.

Thermion 2 – exceptional image quality
Thermion 2 is a series of premium, classic-design riflescopes with astonishing image quality. The classic shape of housing suits all types of hunting and simplifies mounting.
There are six models available in total, which can be divided into two major groups – with or without the built-in precision laser rangefinder. The ones without include XP50 Pro, XQ50 Pro, and XQ35 Pro. All with sub-25 mK NETD, they offer great thermal sensitivity, while the particular choice of riflescope will depend on your needs – they each have a different base magnification, field of view and detection range, so you could pick the one that suits your hunting style best.
Meanwhile, the LRF range has the XG50 – designed for long distances, the XQ50 Pro that will deliver great results from closer ranges and in worse weather conditions, and our flagship Thermion 2 LRF XP50 with the ultimate thermal quality – and a favorite of Riccardo: “A high-end device like the Thermion 2 can be used in any condition: fog, sun, snow, wind, winter, summer… In every situation, it can be considered your most loyal companion.”
It’s also important to mention that all LRF models now come with ballistic calculator. You can create your ballistic profile on the Stream Vision Ballistics app, and upload to your riflescope for precise ballistic calculations. which allows you to create multiple ballistic profiles, it displays suggested corrections right on your Thermion’s screen. This increases the accuracy of long-range shooting significantly, as you can be more assured of your bullet’s POI. Color the darkness
Now, if digital is your preferred type of image, we’ve got something to offer in this department, too. The Digex C50 is a true star that shines 24/7 – with full-color daytime, colorized Twilight, and B/W night modes, it quickly became a favorite to many. Here’s a quick review by Erica: “I loved the new Digex C50. I had high expectations, but the first look in the sight was mind-blowing. It got darker and darker, but I still got a vivid color image like it was daylight. The Digex C50 just has everything.”
Like Thermion, Digex features a classic design and has all the premium features you’d expect – a 500 m nighttime viewing range, a battery to last you all night, and rugged housing to get you through any weather conditions, any time of the day. “Digex C50 set the bar very high! Looking through the scope at twilight, I was shocked at the bright colors and the many details that could be seen around. I have not seen anything like this in any other night vision ever before. The Day, Night, and Twilight modes, with their perfect details, impressed me a lot. This is something really WOW,” shares Krzysztof Turowski, a Polish hunter.
A riflescope for everyone’s needs
