The recently introduced Telos upgradeability program is a real step into the future. This sustainable and cost-effective way to level up your thermal imaging game has caught the attention of hunters all across Europe.
According to two of them, Martin Brožek and Riccardo Tamburini, this program is breaking new ground.
A new, never-before-seen service that makes the life of Telos owners simpler and more economical – that’s one way to describe the fresh Telos upgradeability program. It allows Telos users to enhance the device by replacing its parts with new ones that have better features, discovering them gradually and on their own terms.
This means that once you have your Telos, you can take your time to get familiar with its characteristics, understand which ones you’d like to improve and enhance them later, without having to purchase a completely new device.
Thanks to this service, Pulsar can now offer a truly long-lasting device. If on average, an electronic unit usually lasts for two to five years, now it’s possible to at least double its life cycle.

As Martin Brožek, a hunter from the Czech Republic, notices, the Telos upgradeability service is a refreshing initiative in the thermal optics industry, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to sustainability and customer care.
“This program shows a deep respect for the investments customers have made in their gear, offering the ability to upgrade the core components of the device. This keeps older units relevant, avoiding the need to buy a whole new device. It’s a socially responsible move, as it helps reduce waste, extending the life cycle of a single device”, says Martin.
A hunter from Italy, Riccardo Tamburini, who recently upgraded his Telos XQ35 to Telos LRF XL50, adds that as technology evolves fast, it’s not always easy to keep up with the latest trends and own the newest gear. According to him, the Telos upgradeability service helps to achieve this in a cost-effective way.
“Of course, many users prefer to have the latest device on the market. But this means the need to invest a lot of money. The possibility to upgrade your device solves this problem”, says Riccardo.
What can you upgrade? Well, it depends on the model but generally there are three possibilities: improving your sensor, objective lens, or adding a laser rangefinder if your Telos doesn’t already have one. It means you can upgrade all Telos models except Telos LRF XL50, the most poweful Pulsar thermal imaging monocular available.
The mechanics of the service are simple: once you’ve decided to upgrade your telos, visit our website, check out the possible improvements, and use the online calculator for the approximate quote. Then, just contact your local dealer or distributor, hand them over your device and wait for the upgrade. You should expect a 30-day turnaround for your device.
And in case you’ve been wondering about the warranty of the upgraded device, you will receive a renewed one for the upgraded parts (3 years), but the warranty for the whole device will remain the same
Martin also notices that with the Telos upgradeability program, Pulsar could very well be setting a new benchmark for certain practices.
“The online upgrade calculator is a handy tool, making the upgrade paths and cost differences between models easy to understand. I’m personally optimistic about the direction this is heading. It’s the kind of initiative that could set a new standard for customer care and product longevity in the thermal optics world”, says Martin.
