Additional features:
Better image quality with advanced processing algorithms
The highlight of Firmware Update 3.0.0 for the Merger LRF XT50 thermal imaging binoculars is the enhanced image processing algorithms, which significantly improve the image quality. These updates ensure consistent and reliable performance, even in challenging conditions.
Built-in ballistics
This update also introduces full integration with Stream Vision Ballistics for iOS devices (Android is coming soon), enriching the Merger LRF XT50’s functionality. Now, you’ll be able to see ballistic corrections directly on the screen of your binoculars – even in complete darkness. To use this feature, make sure you have the latest version of the Stream Vision Ballistics app.
A Ballistics Calculator widget is now available on the device display, providing essential data such as the last measured distance, ballistic corrections, the active ballistic profile, click values, and measurement units, ensuring accurate and informed decision-making. This feature ensures accurate and informed decision-making.
Greater customization options
Firmware Update 3.0.0 also brings expanded customization options, letting users personalize their viewing experience. A key addition is the Green color palette bringing the total number of available color modes to nine. This palette reduces eye fatigue and mimics the appearance of analog night vision — an intuitive choice for many hunters.
Users can now choose from three screen shape options: rectangular, rounded, or circular. These options offer greater flexibility to suit individual preferences. Note that the rounded and circular shapes won’t appear in screen recordings or during WiFi streaming, when the display will default to rectangular.
Other additions
Additional features further enhance the device’s usability. The improved display dimming function ensures graphics remain partially visible after activation, making it easy to use in low-light conditions.
Additionally, the device can now stream footage directly to your PC or smartphone via a USB Type-C cable. Compatible with apps such as VLC Player, AMCap, USB Camera, and CamX, this feature delivers superior video quality and reduced latency compared to WiFi streaming, and supports video editing with external software.
Finally, the device now features automatic disabling of image stabilization, enhancing its usability and efficiency. When placed on a stable surface, like a tripod, the device detects its position and automatically disables image stabilization to avoid unnecessary adjustments. Once the device is moved, stabilization seamlessly reactivates, ensuring optimal image clarity and reliable performance in dynamic conditions.
