When four hunters, two Kiwis from New Zealand and two Danes, set foot in Lithuania’s Panevėžys region, they weren’t just there to test equipment. They came chasing a different kind of adventure: to experience a new hunting culture, to share stories across continents, and to build friendships rooted in the outdoors.
The visit began at Pulsar’s facilities in Lithuania, where the group gained a striking impression of the company’s professionalism and genuine passion for both its products and its customers. Combined with the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality of the two local hunting clubs, it set the tone for a journey that proved truly unforgettable.
Long days in the field gave way to evenings of traditional Lithuanian food, laughter around the table, and even the heat of a proper sauna. It was a full immersion, not only into Lithuania’s forests but also its culture. And as is always the case when hunters meet, conversations flowed naturally, about the differences and similarities in hunting traditions between Europe and New Zealand, about the game pursued, and about the people who dedicate their lives to this timeless connection with nature.
The weather couldn’t have been better. Although the late summer meant the roe buck rut was tapering off, there was still enough activity to test both skill and patience. Some fine trophies were taken, adding just the right touch of excitement to days already rich in experience.
While the trip was about far more than technology, the chance to try a range of Pulsar equipment added another layer of fascination.
In the end, the trip wasn’t about which roe buck was the biggest, nor which device performed the best. It was about the way hunting can bring people together across borders. By the time the last day ended, invitations had already been extended: The Kiwis insisted their Danish and Lithuanian friends would always be welcome to cross the globe for red stag, tahr, or chamois in their mountains.
As one of the guests put it while packing up, “You come for the hunt – but you leave with friendships.”
Lithuania had delivered fine game, new knowledge, and incredible hospitality. Pulsar had provided the vision. And together, they created a story the four hunters will carry with them far longer than any trophy.
