Export and sales restriction policy

Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide adheres to a strict Export and Sales Restriction Policy based on which the solutions and products it develops and manufactures are intended for civilian use ONLY.
The Company does not develop solutions and/or products for the military industry, does not provide them for military applications, and none of the Company’s products meet military standards.

Any supply and/or use of the Company’s products for military purposes is prohibited and may lead to legal prosecution.

Most of the Company’s digital and thermal devices, especially riflescopes, are sold under a special export control license, which restricts the movement of such products from one country to another, even within the European Union. This provision is included in all the Company’s product manuals.

The range of products manufactured under the Yukon Advanced Optics and Pulsar brands is vast and comprises goods which require export control. The European Union maintains and publishes lists of items which fall under these controls and cannot be shipped outside the country of disposition without an export license.

The categories of products that require an export license are the following (the Company is aware that these categories may vary in different countries):

  • Night Vision Riflescopes (tube-based, digital and thermal)
  • Optical Sights
  • Night Vision Front Attachments (digital and thermal)
  • Thermal Imaging Scopes and Binoculars
  • Thermal imaging monoculars and binoculars (when exported outside the EU or country of disposition (non-EU countries))

For the sale, transfer, transportation, or shipment of any export-sensitive product outside your country, please contact your local authorities for more detailed information based on EU and national legislation. The company’s local distributors are ready to assist in obtaining the necessary information.

The Company strictly adheres to the trade restrictions policy. It does not trade its solutions and/or products in countries included on sanctions lists or where military conflicts occur.

Warranty Service

The package content of Pulsar® optoelectronic devices includes a warranty card. The warranty card confirms that the Pulsar® product you purchased was supplied without defects and is fully operational. It guarantees the repair of manufacturer defects during the warranty period provided if the item has been used following the user manual. The Manufacturer warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the initial purchase or the manufacturing date if there is no receipt to prove the purchase. To avoid any problems, we recommend becoming familiar with the device’s user manual.

The warranty does not cover any external damage to the device, its casing, or the movements of adjustable parts (i.e., smooth or rough movement). The manufacturer has the right to render the warranty null and void in the following cases:

  • if the device has been modified or tampered with,
  • if the device has been dropped or has marks of mechanical or chemical damage,
  • if the device has been tampered with by unauthorized repair,
  • if the device has been damaged as a result of fire or natural disasters,
  • if the device has been damaged as a result of liquids or other substances getting inside,
  • if the serial number of the device has been modified, rubbed off, removed, illegible, or programmatically deleted (for devices with unique serial numbers).

If you want to activate the warranty repair service, please get in touch with the distributor where the device was purchased or the national distributor of Pulsar® in your country.

Any product returned under warranty should be packaged in a sturdy, outside shipping carton to prevent damage in transit.
In addition, it must be accompanied with the following items:

1. Write a detailed problem description and indicate the error conditions.
2. A copy of the original receipt showing when and where the product was purchased.
3. Return Shipping Information, including the return address and contact person.
4. The seller filled in the warranty card.

Don’t hesitate to contact our service centre with any questions at e-mail: [email protected].

Please note:
The company provides repair service for products on the market for five years from the day of sale or, if it’s impossible to define, from the date of production. During this period, the manufacturer provides both warranty and non-warranty service for your product. The warranty period for rechargeable batteries/units (including those included in the package) is one year.

UK PSTI Statement of Compliance

The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) is a new UK legislation which aims to regulate cyber security for home networks and IoT devices.

The PSTI requires manufacturers of relevant connectable products to be sold in the UK to meet the following security by design features:

Easy-to-guess default passwords preloaded on devices are banned. All products now need unique passwords that cannot be reset to factory default.

Customers must be told when they buy a device the minimum time it will receive vital security updates and patches. If a product doesn’t get either, that must also be disclosed.

Security researchers will be given a public point of contact to point out flaws and bugs.

Devices must come with a compliance statement.
