What warranty conditions apply to your products?
We guarantee our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase.
The warranty period for rechargeable batteries (supplied with the device or bought separately) is one year.
If no purchase receipt is available and the warranty card is not filled in, warranty starts from the manufacturing date plus six months.

Warranty transferability may be subject to national legislation.

How do I make sure that my product is original?
Purchasing from our official distributors and their authorised dealers guarantees that you are buying an original Pulsar product.
Should you have any concerns, please send the serial number of your device to [email protected].
You can find a 7-9 digit serial number on the housing and/or in the menu option "Device information" of your device.
Do I need to register my device to have a warranty?
You don’t need to register. When buying from an official Pulsar distributor or their dealer, you will receive a warranty card along with it.
The warranty starts from the date of the first purchase. Also please keep your payment receipt.

Do your products have an international warranty?
No. Most of our products (such as digital and thermal riflescopes and front-end attachments) comply with export control regulations, therefore warranty is valid only in the country where a product was bought.
Is the warranty extended for the period my device is being repaired?
Yes, repair time is excluded from the total warranty period of your device.
How do I send my device for repair?

Can I send a device directly to you?
No, all products should be returned to the distributor.

How long does repair take?
Maximum repair time is 30 days (shipping not included) but we do our best to reduce this period.

No, technical drawings and electronic components (sensor, display, circuit board etc).

What are the shipping requirements for a product to be sent for repair?
All products returned under warranty should be packed in a sturdy shipping carton to prevent possible damage in transit.

- your individual contact information, including return postal address, phone number, contact person's name;

Is it possible to restore the external apperance of my device?
Yes, it's possible. This will be handled as a paid non-warranty repair.
Will you contact me as soon as my device is repaired?
Please contact your national distributor or the seller to whom you sent the device for repair status and estimated return date.
Can I have my old device updated to a new model at an extra cost?
No, it's not possible for a number of technical reasons and limitations.
For how long do you offer repair service?
We provide repair service for the products on the market for five years from the date of sale or, if this date cannot be defined, from the date of production.
Thermal Vision
Does a thermal imager emit anything and is this radiation dangerous?
Thermal imagers are absolutely safe because the unit itself does not emit anything but only receives and analyses the incoming signal (infrared emission from objects).
Can I use a thermal imager to see through glass?
No, there are no thermal imagers able to look through glass because glass does not let infrared radiation within 8–14 ɥm pass.
Can the bright sunlight damage a thermal imager?
It is not recommended to point the thermal imager with open lens cap at powerful sources of energy (unit emitting laser radiation or the sun), because it may negatively impact the accuracy of the thermal imager.
Do not use your thermal unit at temperatures exceeding +50 °С as high temperatures may damage the unit.
What is the service life of thermal devices?
The notion of “service life” should be treated in an integrated manner (microbolometer, display, boards, buttons, shutter and other parts and assemblies). Component manufacturers may include maximum service life information in the technical specifications.
Yukon Advanced Optics tests all parts and joints for nonfailure operating time before launching series production of its units. Every unit produced by our company is covered by a three-year warranty which includes free warranty service. Adhering to the rules of operation may significantly extend a unit’s life.
Why is the image quality when using the scope at low temperatures worse than at positive temperatures?
Due to various thermal conductivity issues, objects (surrounding environment, background) under observation warm faster at positive temperatures, which enables better temperature contrast and, thus, the quality of the image produced by a thermal imager, will be superior. At low operating temperatures objects under observation (background) normally cool down to roughly equal temperatures, which leads to lower temperature contrast and image quality degradation.
Why does the unit drain batteries when it´s switched off?
Please make sure that the unit is switched off completely: press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 3 seconds – a countdown will display on the screen.
If the button is held for less than 3 seconds, “Display Off” mode will be activated. In this mode the unit still uses power and the batteries will drain.
Also, please make sure you are using the latest firmware update in your Pulsar device.
Can I use thermal rilfescopes on heavy calibre rifles?
Pulsar riflescopes feature a max. shock resistance of 6000 Joules which allows use on heavy calibers.
Please check this value for your cartridges prior to using.
What is zoom zeroing used for?
The zoom zeroing function helps increase the zeroing accuracy of riflescopes. Zoom zeroing allows the shooter to zero the riflescope on zoom. Increasing magnification of the riflescope by 2x (e.g. 1.6x2=3.2) makes the click value two times smaller (click value for every riflescope can be found in the respective reticle catalog or technical specifications of the unit in the user manual). Respectively increasing the magnification of the unit by 4 makes the click value 4 times smaller.
I hear no sound when playing videos on iOS devices. The microphone is on.
Do I need a permission to travel with my thermal imager to other countries?
Thermal devices are export sensitive if exported outside EU.
Also it might be necessary to apply for import license if you are entering the destination country.
Please contact the customs service of the destination country to find out if any restrictions for the import of thermal devices as a personal belonging apply.
Are the batteries charged or do they need to be charged before first use?
Products are supplied with partially charged batteries.
For better experience, we suggest fully charging the batteries before first use.

Why does the device body get hot during operation?
There is a radiator in the device body – a metal part on the device body is a radiator designed to remove heat from electronic components of the device, which heating up during the operation of the device provide them with the required operating temperature.
After a shot, a semi-circular flare appears at the bottom of the thermal imaging image.
Possible cause
The gun is equipped with a compensator or silencer that radiates heat when fired.Solution
It is recommended to raise the height of the riflescope to a level at which the flare is not visible. After that, you will need to re-zero the riflescope.Thermal Imaging Riflescopes
What is the difference between Thermion 2 Pro and Thermion 2 LRF PRO?
Both models feature very similar specifications; however Thermion 2 LRF Pro has a laser rangefinder (max. range 800m). For detailed specifications please check out this link
Does the scope feature Image Boost?
Image Boost is not available as a dedicated feature but it’s incorporated in all observation modes.
The riflescope is not measuring distance correctly.
Please take note of the following:
- Accuracy of measurement and maximum range depend on the reflection ratio of the target surface, the angle at which the emitting beam falls on the target surface and environmental conditions. Reflectivity is also affected by surface texture, color, size and the shape of the target. A shiny or brightly colored surface is normally more reflective than a dark surface.
- Measuring range to a small sized target is more difficult than to a large target. Accuracy of the measurement can also be affected by light conditions, fog, haze, rain, snow etc. Ranging performance can degrade in bright conditions or when ranging towards the sun.
- When measuring range to a small-sized target located more that 400 meters away, it is recommended that you put your elbow against a solid surface. This is due to possible hand tremors and difficulty hitting the target with the beam at a longer distance.
The rangefinding reticle and aiming reticle do not match, is it OK?
The rangefinding reticle is set to be always in the centre of the field of view and it's not designed for shooting purposes.
The aiming reticle may not be strictly in the centre of the field of view after the zeroing procedure. This depends on the mount type and if the riflescope is mounted and tightened correctly on a rifle.
Can I restore a previous firmware version in your devices?
No, restoring a previous firmware version is not possible.
Can I use Thermion 2 in the daytime?
Yes, you can use Thermion in any weather conditions (fog, rain, mist etc.), night and day.
What mounting rings would you recommend for the Thermion 2?
You can use all types of 30 mm compatible rings and mounts.
There are no special recommendations – the rings should be good quality and sit as low as possible to facilicate zeroing.

When choosing rings, please take note of the riflescope dimensions.
What would be the recommended torque setting for the mounting rings to install Thermion 2?
The recommended torque setting is up to 2.5 Nm.
My riflescope will not hold zero. What can I do?
Please make sure:
- your riflescope has the latest firmware version. Click here to check.
- you have correctly and firmly installed the riflescope on your rifle.
- you have correctly carried out the zeroing procedure described in the user manual.
My image freezes from time to time. Is this a defect?
In the course of the calibration process the image freezes on the screen – this is normal and not a defect.
Default calibration mode is “Automatic” (the software decides when calibration is necessary) but you can change it to “Manual” mode in the "Main menu" => "Calibration mode" to calibrate the riflescope when you need to based on actual image quality.
lease close the lens cover prior to manual calibration. We recommend using automatic mode all the time.

I can see a ghost image / residual artefacts of the previous image. What is wrong?
You are using the manual calibration mode without closing the lens cover.
Please make sure the lens cover is closed during calibration or switch to the automatic calibration mode if you do not want to close the cover.
I can hear a clicking sound during calibration. Can I turn it off?
No, a clicking sound is normal in the automatic and semiautomatic calibration modes.
You may switch to the manual calibration mode to avoid the sound. Remember to close the lens cover to make sure no ghost images appear on the display.
Why do I need to calibrate the image?
Calibration levels the background temperature of the microbolometer and eliminates image flaws (such as vertical stripes, ghost images of previous objects etc.).
Intervals between calibrations depend on operating time: the longer a thermal imager operates nonstop, the less frequently calibration is required.
There are defective pixels (or pixel clusters) on the screen of my thermal imaging device.
Please note that a certain amount of non-functional pixels (max 0.5% of total quantity) is allowed by the sensor and is not considered a defect. You may try repairing the pixels using the respective menu item of your thermal imager. For details, please refer to the user manual.

Activate the pixel repair option in the device`s menu. You will be redirected to a window with picture in picture (PiP) mode and an auxiliary cross.
Operate with navigation buttons to move the cross into the bad pixel’s coordinates. Dead pixels disappear when the auxiliary crosss is in the correct position.
Press the ON/OFF button and check for the “OK” message on the display.
Can I power the riflescope from a 12 V car adapter?
Yes, you can use a car adapter featuring a 5V / 2A output.
Can I change the internal battery by myself?
The internal battery can be replaced only at the service center. Please contact your seller or national distributor to arrange return for repair.
Does the riflescope feature Recoil activated video recording?
No, this function is not available. Please use the standard video recording function.
Does the riflescope support a remote control?
No, Thermion does not support a remote control.

Are user zeroing profiles saved when updating riflescope’s firmware?
When updating firmware, user zeroing profiles are saved.
Why is the reticle off the centre after zeroing?
After zeroing the reticle may be slightly off the centre of the field of view which is normal and does not affect accuracy.
If the riflescope is installed properly on your rifle, and the mount is well fixed too, you may not need to move the reticle a lot, thus the reticle will stay very close to the centre.
Does the riflescope save user zeroing profiles if it’s powered down for a long period of time?
Yes, user zeroing profiles are saved even if the battery is not installed in the riflescope for a long period of time.
My image is blurry when I use digital zoom. Is it a defect?
When using digital zoom, image is cropped so resolution will become lower and the image will look not as clear as when using the base (optic magnification).
It's a peculiarity of digital zoom in all devices, and it's not a defect.
Is it possible to upload new reticles to the riflescope?
You cannot do it by yourself. However you can send us a reticle type proposal and we will have it considered.
Can I use my Pulsar riflescopes on a SCAR 17s rifle known for its recoil?
All Pulsar digital and thermal riflescopes feature a max. shock resistance of 6000 Joules.

What is the User Mode for?
The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.
The function is enabled in the main menu of Pulsar thermal imaging devices and remains active until the user disables it.
While the function is active, the thermal imaging device will save the latest brightness and contrast settings specific to each observation mode.
They are stored in the memory even if you temporarily disable the User Mode. Reactivating it will return the saved brightness and contrast settings.

How do I install the Talion on my rifle?

What would be the recommended torque setting to install TALION?
The recommended torque setting is 4 Nm (35.4 in-lbs).
The riflescope turns off after a shot. What shall I do?
When closing the lid of the battery container, make sure that the lid lock is in the leftmost position (please see the image).
Can I use Talion in the daytime?
Yes, you can use Talion in any weather conditions (fog, rain, mist etc.), night and day.
My image is blurry or is out of focus.
Please make sure you have made the following adjustments:
- First, adjust the diopter adjustment on the eyepiece to clearly see the icons on the display and in the status bar.
- Second, adjust the lens focus to see the object of observation clearly. Please note that re-focusing may be required as the distance to the object changes.
- Do the image calibration – either in the manual mode (with lens cover closed) or in the automatic mode.
- Choose the most suitable amplification level “Normal”, “High” or “Ultra” depending on the specific observation conditions.
- Go through the different color modes.
- Adjust manually display contrast and brightness. We recommend keeping those two values at similar levels. A huge difference between them badly affects the image quality.
Can I use my Pulsar riflescopes on a SCAR 17s rifle known for its recoil?

What is the difference between Thermion 2 and Thermion?
Thermion 2 has new features as follows:
- Thermion 2 XP50 has a ground-breaking temperature sensitivity (NETD lower than 25 mK) enabling detection of the smallest temperature differences.
Thermion 2 XQ38 and XQ50 feature a 384x288/17µm thermal imaging sensor with high temperature sensitivity (NETD lower than 40 mK) offering excellent detail recognition in the most difficult weather conditions.

Does Thermion support BPS AA battery holder?
Thermion does not support BPS battery pack for regular AA batteries. The Thermion riflescope uses an internal non-removable battery APS3 (3200 mAh) and an external battery APS2 (2000 mAh) which can be removed for charging.
You can also charge both batteries by connecting a charger to the Thermion riflescope.
To ensure longer operating time, you can install an accessory APS3 battery (bought separately) in place of the APS2 battery.
Can I use Trail 2 LRF in the daytime?
Yes, you can use Trail 2 LRF in any weather conditions (fog, rain, mist etc.), night and day.
What is the recommended torque when attaching the mount to the Trail LRF?
The recommended clamping force is up to 2–3 Nm. Please note that applying thread sealant is very important.
My Trail 2 LRF is not measuring distance correctly.
Please take note of the following:

What is the difference between Merger LRF XP50 and Accolade 2 LRF Pro?
Merger LRF has the following differences from the Accolade 2 LRF Pro:
- lens with better aperture 1.0 (vs 1.2 in Accolade), this makes picture brighter;
- higher resolution display - 1024x768 (vs 640x480 in Accolade);
- dual Wi-Fi band 5 / 2.4 GHz - ensures better stability and transfer speed;
- compatible only with Stream Vision 2 (Accolade 2 is only compatible with Stream Vision 1);

My image is blurry or out of focus.
Please make sure you have made the following adjustments:
First, adjust the dioptre adjustment by rotating the eyepiece dioptre rings to clearly see the icons on the display and in the status bar.
Second, adjust the lens focus to see the object of observation clearly. Please note that re-focusing may be required as the distance to the object changes.
Do the image calibration – either in manual mode (with lens cover closed) or in automatic mode.
Select the most suitable amplification level (“Normal”, “High”, “Ultra”) depending on the specific observation conditions.
Go through the different colour pallets.
Manually adjust display contrast and brightness. We recommend keeping those two values at similar levels. A huge difference between them badly affects the image quality.
Check smoothing filter. If needed turn it on or off.

What is the housing made of?
The housing of Merger LRF is made of high-quality reinforced magnesium alloy.
What battery is used in the Merger LRF?
The Merger LRF is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 8 hours of battery life.
The external battery falls out of the Merger LRF XP50 binoculars.
Please make sure the battery is installed correctly as recommended:
Before installing the battery, make sure that there is an undamaged rubber insulating ring on the battery. The ring is designed to protect your device from moisture getting inside. Damage to the device due to a missing ring is not covered by the warranty.
Install the battery into the battery compartment that a pictogram in the form of a “dot” on the battery on the left. You will hear a click when the battery is placed correctly.
Why does the display turn off when I move the device away from my face?
The proximity sensor is working.
The proximity sensor can be turned off in the device settings
When the proximity sensor is off, the display can be turned on/off by pressing the ON/OFF button.
The Merger LRF doesn’t turn on.
If Merger LRF XP50 will not turn on, press and hold down the ON button for 15 sec, the scope should turn on.
If this does not help, probably the battery is empty. Charge the internal battery or connect a charged external power supply such as power bank. Contact us [email protected]
The menu button doesn’t response.
Please try removing and re-inserting the external battery, turn off and on the binoculars and press the menu button again.
Is it possible to use the Merger with a tripod?

How do I switch color modes?
To switch between color modes, please proceed to the menu and select the menu item "Color modes". Please refer to the user manual for details.
How do I update firmware version for my Merger LRF XP50?
1) Download the Stream Vision 2 App from Google Play or the App Store free of charge.
2) Connect your Pulsar device to your mobile device.
3) Launch Stream Vision 2 and go to “Settings”.
4) Select your connected Pulsar device and press “Check for updates”.
Important:
If your Pulsar device is connected to your phone, please use Mobile data (GPRS / 3G / 4G / 5G) to download the update.
- If your Pulsar device is not connected to your phone but is already in the “Device” menu section, you can use WiFi to download updates.
5) Download the firmware update to the application, connect your device unless it´s connected.
6) Press “Update device” and wait for the update to download and install.
Then the Pulsar device will restart and be ready to operate.

What is the User Mode for?
The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.
The function is enabled in the main menu of Pulsar thermal imaging devices and remains active until the user disables it.
While the function is active, the thermal imaging device will save the latest brightness and contrast settings specific to each observation mode.
They are stored in the memory even if you temporarily disable the User Mode. Reactivating it will return the saved brightness and contrast settings.
Will Merger binoculars get a ballistics data calculator upgrade?

What is the advantage of Merger LRF XQ35 compared to the Merger LRF XP50 and Merger LRF XL50?
The Merger LRF XQ35 is the lightest and most compact device (181x133x68) in the Merger line, weighing only 830 g (including batteries).

Is it possible to connect the Merger binoculars direct to a laptop with the supplied USB cable to download video files?

How does Merger LRF XP35 differ from the Merger line (XP50, XL50, XQ35)

Do I need to zero the attachment?
No, there is no need to zero Krypton, you only need to zero your day sight.

Yes, Krypton 2 can be used as a handheld monocular.
You will need the 3x20B monocular for this purpose. The item is bought separately.
Can I attach and use the 3x20B monocular without removing the PSP adapter?
No, it’s not possible. You need to remove the PSP adapter to use the 3x20B monocular with the attachment.

In the course of the calibration process the image freezes on the screen – this is normal and not a defect.
Default calibration mode is “Automatic” (the software decides when calibration is necessary) but you can change it to “Manual” mode in the "Main menu" => "Calibration mode" to calibrate the attachment when you need to based on actual image quality.
Please close the lens cover prior to manual calibration. We recommend using automatic mode all the time.

I can see a ghost image / residual artefacts of the previous image. What is wrong?
You are using the manual calibration mode without closing the lens cover.
Please make sure the lens cover is closed during calibration or switch to the automatic calibration mode if you do not want to close the cover.
I can hear a clicking sound during calibration. Can I turn it off?
No, a clicking sound is normal in the automatic and semiautomatic calibration modes.
You may switch to the manual calibration mode to avoid the sound. Remember to close the lens cover to make sure no ghost images appear on the display.
Why do I need to calibrate the image?
Calibration levels the background temperature of the microbolometer and eliminates image flaws (such as vertical stripes, ghost images of previous objects etc.).
Intervals between calibrations depend on operating time: the longer a thermal imager operates nonstop, the less frequently calibration is required.
There are defective pixels (or pixel clusters) on the screen of my thermal imaging device.
You may try repairing the pixels using the respective menu item of your thermal imager. For details, please refer to the user manual.

Please make sure you have made the following adjustments:
- First, adjust the diopter adjustment on the eyepiece to clearly see the icons on the display and in the status bar.
- Second, adjust the lens focus to see the object of observation clearly. Please note that re-focusing may be required as the distance to the object changes.
- Do the image calibration – either in manual mode (with lens cover closed) or in automatic mode. Select the most suitable observation mode – “Forest”, “Rocks” or “Identification” depending on the specific observation conditions.
- Go through the different color palletes.
- Manually adjust display contrast and brightness. We recommend keeping those two values at similar levels. A huge difference between them badly affects the image quality.
- Try turning Image Detail Boost ON and OFF. The greatest benefit of this feature can be enjoyed in scenery with high contrast and at shorter distances.
Does Krypton have a tripod mount?
No, Krypton is not outfitted with a tripod mount.
After a shot, a semi-circular flare appears at the bottom of the thermal imaging image.

What does “DUO” in riflescope’s name mean?
“DUO” means the riflescope features a multispectral functionality. i.e. the riflescope is able to produce digital or thermal image. Both images can be also seen at the same time using the PiP window: one image being on the main screen and the other in the PiP window.
Can I use the digital channel in the nighttime?
The digital channel is intended only for the daytime use.
Please use the thermal channel in low light conditions or complete darkness.
Can I use an IR Illuminator for the digital channel?
No, IR Illuminators cannot be used with the Thermion DUO as the digital channel is only for the daytime use.
How do I need to zero in the riflescope twice?
Please note that you need to zero the digital and thermal imaging channels separately. Please follow the instructions to do this.
If zeroing is not performed in one of the channels, you will not be able to hit the target.
Can I install a laser rangefinder on the riflescope?
No, the riflescope does not allow installing an external rangefinder. The riflescope features a stadiametric rangefinder which offers manual measurement of an approximate distance to an object. You may read more here.
The image of the digital channel has become black and white.
When the illumination level goes down, riflescope’s digital channel will automatically switch to the black-and-white mode to reduce the level of color noise in the image. Please move the riflescope to a location with sufficient light level to have a color image again.

What would be the recommended torque setting for the mounting rings to install Thermion DUO?

When using digital zoom, image is cropped so resolution will become lower and the image will look not as clear as when using the base (optic magnification).

Can I charge an IPS/APS battery when installed in the device?
Yes, it’s possible. We suggest turning off the device before charging. Please note that charging via the supplied battery charger will enable much faster charging.
My battery does not last long.
Please note that battery operating times may be shorter if used at low and negative temperatures.
The LED on the charger is always red. Is this normal?
Probably the battery has a deep discharge.
Keep the battery in the charger for a long time (up to several hours), remove and re-insert it. If the indicator starts blinking green, the battery is good;
if it keeps lighting red it’s defective. Do not use the battery!
What are IR illuminators for?
IR illuminators are used with digital devices and are designed to improve image quality in low light conditions or full darkness.
What is the difference between visible and invisible IR illuminators?
IR illuminators operating in the invisible range (e.g. 940nm) are designed for use at short and medium distances. IR illuminators operating in the visible range (e.g. 805; 850 nm) are intended for use at medium and long distances.
I can see a red glow of the invisible IR Illuminator. Why?
Seeing a dim red glow of an IR spot at short range in invisible IR Illuminators is normal.
The light is not visible to most animals.
What are your rifle mounts made of?
Pulsar mounts are made of cast aluminum.

I updated today my Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 LRF Pro with the new firmware 3.1 und now my Laser Range Finder function is just working in Scan mode, the measurement function in single mode does not give me any results anymore.
You need to do two short presses on the LRF button. The first press activates the LRF, the second measures the distance and activates ballistic calculations if this function is turned on in the main menu.
Please tell me there is an option to change the marker to a straight horizontal line from a cross.

How to enable the "Motion Detection" function?
- Connect your Pulsar device to your phone.
- Launch the Stream Vision 2 application. Press the “Connect Device” button in the application.

- Select “Motion Detection”, move the slider to the “on” position.
What features does the “Motion Detection” feature offer?

To save a video or photo recorded with Stream Vision 2:- Go to the Stream Vision 2 gallery.
- Select the required file.
- Click the "Share" button.
- Select the "Files" icon - the selected file will be saved in the gallery of your Android phone.
- After saving, the file will be displayed in the phone's gallery as a regular media file.

Can I install Stream Vision 2 on my PC or Mac?
No, Stream Vision is designed for mobile devices only.
How do I connect my Pulsar device to a phone?
1) Turn on WiFi on your Pulsar device. A WiFi icon in the status bar will start to flicker, then a question mark will appear next to it.
2) Turn on WiFi in your smartphone settings.
3) Select the network with your Pulsar device's name (contains device name and the 4 last digits of its serial number) in your phone. Click "Connect".
Please ignore "weak signal" and "no internet connection" messages (if any).
4) Type in the device’s password in the prompt box.
Default password is 12345678.
To reset or change your password, please go to the menu item "General settings"=> "Default settings" on your device.
A WiFi icon with a question mark in the status bar of your Pulsar device will change to an icon with a phone symbol. This means your phone is connected.
5) Launch Stream Vision 2 on your phone. Press the button “Connect device”.
How do I update the firmware on my Pulsar device using Stream Vision 2?
1) Download the Stream Vision 2 App from Google Play or the App Store free of charge.
2) Connect your Pulsar device to your mobile device (refer to point 8 above).
3) Launch Stream Vision 2 and go to “Settings”.
4) Select your connected Pulsar device and press “Check for updates”.
Important:
If your Pulsar device is connected to your phone, please use Mobile data (GPRS / 3G / 4G / 5G) to download the update.
- If your Pulsar device is not connected to your phone but is already in the “Device” menu section, you can use WiFi to download updates.
5) Download the firmware update to the application, connect your device unless it´s connected.
6) Press “Update device” and wait for the update to download and install.
Then the Pulsar device will restart and be ready to operate.
An error occurs while downloading the firmware update. What should I do?
Please make sure that:
- You have the latest Stream Vision 2 version.
- Your mobile connection is active during download.
- Your phone is not connected to the Pulsar device during download.
How do I check whether a firmware update is available for my device?

No, it’s only possible to connect to one mobile device at a time.
How do I register on the Cloud?
Select the menu item “Gallery” => “Cloud” => “Authorization”.
You can sign in using either your account in Google, Facebook, the App Store or phone number.
For Android users the device should not be connected to the app while signing in.
For iOS users – signing in is possible with a connected device.
Do I need to pay to use the Cloud?
No, registered users can use the 16 GB cloud storage free of charge.
Will the ballistic calculator be available in the app?

How do I change the default location when sharing files?

Is it possible to stream video by connecting device to PC?
No, connection to PC is intended to transfer recorded files to PC and to charge your Pulsar device. To stream video from your Pulsar device, please download Stream Vision application.
Is there a limited phone number length in the prompt field when registering in the cloud?
At the moment there is a limit of 12 digits when entering a phone number. We will fix this issue in the near future.
My device will not connect to my phone.

Please ignore such messages, they have nothing to do with the connection to the device.
The Pulsar device is not the source of the Internet connection, which is why the phone shows them.

My phone will not stay connected to a Pulsar device.
- Please make sure GPS (Location) is on in your mobile device.
- Try switching on the "Flight mode" (for iOS devices) and disable mobile data transfer.
- Try turning off your home WiFi router or other strong WiFi networks and re-try the connection.
- Turn off the "Switch to mobile data" (Android) option – this smartphone feature may automatically shut down the connection to the Pulsar device.
- For Android devices please select "allow all” for the App's features of your phone settings.
- For iOS 14 and 15 make sure the "Local network" setting is on in the app's permissions.
- For better performance while downloading files or while updating firmware, please make sure the distance between your device and phone is within 0.5-2m.
- Return to default settings in your Pulsar device. Check that the password in the Pulsar device is correct (or set up a new password).
- Delete (forget) the Pulsar device's network in your phone and connect to this network with a new password.
My phone is asking for a password or will not accept the password.
- Default password is 12345678. You can check and change it in the "WiFi Settings" menu item of your device.
- To reset your password, please go to "General settings"=> "Default settings".
Videos cannot be downloaded from the App to my phone.
Please make sure your device is connected to the phone.

Video files saved to Android phone’s gallery cannot be played.
Solution:
- Download file from device to the Stream Vision app.

Is it possible to share multiple files simultaneously?
No, you can only share files one by one.
Choose a downloaded file from the app gallery and click on the “share” link in the bottom left corner.
How do I change a method for sharing files?
- Please go to phone settings(Applications), choose “Applications”, select the app you are sharing with, and deselect "Use as default".
- Please note that the phone's menu items may look different depending on the phone model.
Why do I need to turn on Location (GPS) in my phone to be able to connect?
Enabling the GPS (Location) function is required for the application to remember the network name and then, if the connection with the device is lost / restored, it can re-connect automatically.
The application does not collect location data for any other purpose.
Connection is impossible without turning on GPS.
Does the app have motion detection?
My device was stolen. Can you track it down using GPS or the IP address when connecting via Stream Vision?
Pulsar devices do not feature a GPS module or IP tracking system for tracking. You may send your serial number to [email protected], our service centre will let you know if the device is returned for repair.
The app will not accept a verification code when setting up a Pulsar cloud account. What can I do?
Please try restarting the application and retry.
If this does not help, please try accessing with the help of a Facebook, Google or Apple account.
Can I use Stream Vision to connect products of third party manufacturers?
No. Stream Vision is compatible only with products under Pulsar and Yukon brands.
Is Stream Vision compatible with all Android smartphones?
Yes. However, please note that if your phone does not support Google Play and Google services, stable operation of Stream Vision is not guaranteed.

Can the Image Detail Boost function work for a long time? Does it damage the device?
Will interchangeable lenses be available for Pulsar Telos XP50 thermal imaging devices?
35 mm and 50 mm are the only lens options we are offering for the Telos. Interchangeable lenses are not currently available separately as accessories or spare parts. All possible changes in the design of devices will be displayed in the Upgradable Device program later.
Сan I change the magnification in the monocular to 1x?
My image freezes from time to time. Is this a defect?
During the calibration process the image freezes on the screen – this is normal and not a defect.
Default calibration mode is “Automatic” (the software decides when calibration is necessary) but you can change it to “Manual” mode in the "Main menu" => "Calibration mode" to calibrate the riflescope when you need to base on actual image quality. Please close the lens cover prior to manual calibration. We recommend using automatic mode all the time. Please read more about calibration in the user manual for your thermal device.
My image is blurry or out of focus.
Please make sure you have made the following adjustments:
Adjust the diopter adjustment on the eyepiece to clearly see the icons on the display and in the status bar.
Adjust the lens focus to see the object of observation clearly. Please note that re-focusing may be required as the distance to the object changes.
Do the image calibration – either in manual mode (with lens cover closed) or in automatic mode.
Select the most suitable amplification level – “Normal”, “High” or “Ultra” depending on the specific observation conditions.
Go through the different color palletes.
Manually adjust display contrast and brightness. We recommend keeping those two values at similar levels. A huge difference between them badly affects the image quality.
Check smoothing filter. If needed turn it on or off.
I can see a ghost image / residual artefact of the previous image. What is wrong?
You are using the manual calibration mode without closing the lens cover. Please make sure the lens cover is closed during calibration or switch to the automatic calibration mode if you do not want to close the cover.
I can hear a clicking sound during calibration. Can I turn it off?
No, a clicking sound is normal in the automatic and semiautomatic calibration modes.
You may switch to the manual calibration mode to avoid the sound. Remember to close the lens cover to make sure no ghost images appear on the display.
Why do I need to calibrate the image?
Calibration levels the background temperature of the microbolometer and eliminates image flaws (such as vertical stripes, ghost images of previous objects etc.). Intervals between calibrations depend on operating time: the longer a thermal imager operates nonstop, the less frequently calibration is required.
There are defective pixels (or pixel clusters) on the screen of my thermal imaging device.
Please note that a certain number of non-functional pixels (max 0.5% of total quantity) is allowed by the sensor and is not considered a defect. You may try repairing the pixels using the respective menu item of your thermal imager. For details, please refer to the user manual.

My Telos LRF is not measuring distance correctly.
Please take note of the following:
Accuracy of measurement and maximum range depend on the reflection ratio of the target surface, the angle at which the emitting beam falls on the target surface and environmental conditions. Reflectivity is also affected by surface texture, colour, size and the shape of the target. A shiny or brightly coloured surface is normally more reflective than a dark surface.
Measuring range to a small sized target is more difficult than to a large target. Accuracy of the measurement can also be affected by light conditions, fog, haze, rain, snow etc. Ranging performance can degrade in bright conditions or when ranging towards the sun.
When measuring range to a small-sized target located more that 400 meters away, it is recommended that you put your elbow against a solid surface. This is due to possible hand tremors and difficulty hitting the target with the beam at a longer distance.
How can I activate zoom?
To change the magnification, turn the digital zoom adjustment ring on the objective lens.
What battery is used in the Telos LRF? How can I charge the battery?
Telos devices use Li-Ion Power supply LPS 7i with a capacity of 6400 mAh.
The battery can be charged using a standard wireless induction charger (remove the battery cap before charging) or connected direct to the network adapter via the USB Type-C port.
Is it possible to use the Telos with a tripod?
If you want to mount the Telos LRF on a tripod, you need to use the Telos tripod adapter (bought separately). The Telos tripod adapter is equipped with a 1/4" tripod mount located on the bottom plane of the adapter.
How do I register my Telos LRF?
You don’t need to register your device to have a warranty.

The Telos is adapted for left- and right-handed use – you can use it with both hands.
What is the User Mode for?
The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.
The function is enabled in the main menu of Pulsar thermal imaging devices and remains active until the user disables it.
While the function is active, the thermal imaging device will save the latest brightness and contrast settings specific to each observation mode.
They are stored in the memory even if you temporarily disable the User Mode. Reactivating it will return the saved brightness and contrast settings.

Can I charge my Helion using the car lighter?
Yes, you can connect your Helion 2 Pro via the supplied USB cable to a 12V car adapter.
Recommended output is 2A, lower output charge time will be longer.
Are Helion devices adapted for left hand use?
Helion series can be used with both hands, but the hand strap cannot be placed on the left side.

Do I need a permission to travel with my thermal imager to other countries?
Thermal devices are export sensitive if exported outside EU.
Also it might be necessary to apply for import license if you are entering the destination country.

Is it possible to add a reticle for the Helion?
No, the Helion is a handheld device and cannot be used for installation on a rifle and used as riflescope.

Can I use AXION with eye glasses?
Axion features an ultra compact yet feature-rich design which implies certain compromises in terms of selected technical specifications.
We recommend that glass wearers fold back the edge of the elastic eye shade to allow a certain increase
of the field of view.
Please note that AXION features +/-5 diopter adjustment which allows using the monoculars without eye glasses thus allowing enjoyment of the entire field of view.
How do I update firmware version for my AXION?

How do I check the charge percentage of the battery without having to turn the device on?
The battery icon in the status bar of your AXION XM30S will show charge percentage only when the display is on.
When the device is turned off, you can only see whether it's charging if you look at the LED diode (located next to the eyepiece).

Can the device battery be charged using a power bank?
If your power bank output current is 2A, you can use the device and charge the APS battery.
If the external battery provides only 1A, it will not charge the battery unless the device is switched off.
How do I switch color palettes?

All of our products, including AXION XQ LRF, feature 1 Class Safety (standard IEC60825-1:2014) laser
which means it's harmless to the eyes. Nevertheless, please avoid looking directly at the emitting lens of the rangefinder.
What is the difference between Axion 2 XQ35 and Axion XQ38?
Axion 2 XQ35 has the following advantages:
- new image processing algorithms;

Does the scope feature Image Boost?
Image Boost is not available as a dedicated feature but it’s incorporated in the image amplification levels.
Is it possible to mount an Axion 2 XQ on a rifle?
AXION is a purely handheld device and cannot be mounted on a rifle.
The monocular is not measuring distance correctly (Axion 2 XQ LRF).
Please take note of the following:
- Accuracy of measurement and maximum range depend on the reflection ratio of the target surface, the angle at which the emitting beam falls on the target surface and environmental conditions. Reflectivity is also affected by surface texture, color, size and the shape of the target. A shiny or brightly colored surface is normally more reflective than a dark surface.
- Measuring range to a small sized target is more difficult than to a large target. Accuracy of the measurement can also be affected by light conditions, fog, haze, rain, snow etc. Ranging performance can degrade in bright conditions or when ranging towards the sun.
- When measuring range to a small-sized target located more that 400 meters away, it is recommended that you put your elbow against a solid surface. This is due to possible hand tremors and difficulty hitting the target with the beam at a longer distance.
Does the rangefinder use a safe laser? (Axion 2 XQ LRF)
All of our products, including AXION XQ LRF, feature 1 Class Safety (standard IEC60825-1:2014) laser
which means it's harmless to the eyes. Nevertheless, please avoid looking directly at the emitting lens of the rangefinder.
Is it possible to add a rangefinder to the AXION 2 XQ35?
No, it’s not possible. Please use AXION 2 XQ35 LRF if you need a laser rangefinder.
How to use comfortably the AXION Key with eye glasses?
Axion features an ultra compact yet feature-rich design which implies certain compromises in terms of selected technical specifications.
We recommend that glass wearers fold back the edge of the elastic eye shade to allow a certain increase of the field of view.
Please note that AXION features +/-5 diopter adjustment which allows using the monoculars without eye glasses thus allowing enjoyment of the entire field of view.
According to the specifications, AXION KEY XM30 and AXION XM30 feature the same field of view but the base magnification is different. Is this correct?
Field of view depends on the lens focal length and the sensor size.
Both AXION XM30 and AXION XM30 KEY have equal parameters.
Optical magnification depends on:
- lens focal length,
- sensor size,
- display size,
- eyepiece focal length.
I do not see the charge percentage in my AXION Key.
Battery charge percentage is shown only if the device is connected to a PC (power mode) or power bank.
In normal mode the battery indicator does not show the charge percentage.
Is it possible to mount an Axion Key on a rifle?
AXION is a purely handheld device and cannot be mounted on a rifle.
How do I update the firmware version for my AXION Key?
If your firmware version is below 1.0.26, please follow the instructions below

If your firmware is 1.0.26 or higher (for example 2.0.09/2.0.14), no update is required.
I am trying to update the firmware for my AXION Key but the system says the driver is not compatible.
If your firmware version is 1.0.26 or higher (for example 2.0.09/2.0.14), update is not required.
How can you tell if the battery is fully charged when using the wall charger?
AXION KEY does not have an external full battery charge indication when charging AXION KEY without
a charge base (it's not supplied with AXION KEY but is available as an accessory).
If your device is turned on and the wall charger is used, the battery icon in the status bar of your AXION KEY will show charge percentage.
Please keep the device connected for about 1,5-2 hours to fully charge the battery.
Night Vision Riflescopes
Can I use the riflescope in the daytime?
Yes, you can use the riflescope both at night and in the daytime.
For better performance in the daytime please close the lens cover and use the manual display brightness and contrast settings.
What mounting rings would you recommend for the Digex?
You can use all types of 30mm compatible rings and mounts.
There are no special recommendations – the rings should be good quality and sit as low as possible to facilicate zeroing.

My riflescope will not hold zero. What can I do?
Please make sure:
- your riflescope has the latest firmware version. Click here to check.
- you have correctly and firmly installed the riflescope on your rifle.
- you have correctly carried out the zeroing procedure described in the user manual.
The aiming reticle will not stay in the centre of the display after zeroing is done. Is it OK?
When setting the zeroing coordinates, the reticle moves along the image which allows a wider range of reticle adjustment.
The reticle movement range makes it possible to successfully zero a riflescope mounted even on a mount far from being ideal thus minimizing mount's faults. Higher precision of the rifle-mount system requires less movement of the reticle.
We suggest mounting the riflescope as low as possible and make sure there are no inclications in either side, especially vertically.
The supplied IR Illuminator lights excessively at a short distance.
The Digex uses a powerful IR illuminator. This increases detection range and gives the impression of a higher illumination when seeing objects at a shorter range. In such cases, we recommend the following:
- reducing the power of the IR illuminator;
- adjusting the position of the IR spot;
- holding the riflescope a little bit higher;
- using an alternative focusable IR Illuminator installed in place of the supplied IR.
Can I change the internal battery by myself?
The internal battery can be replaced only at the service centre. Please contact your seller or national distributor to arrange return for repair.
Does the riflescope support a remote control?
No, a remote control is not supported by Digex.

Yes, you can use a car adapter featuring 5V/2A output.
Does the riflescope feature Recoil activated video recording?
No, this function is not available. Please use the standard video recording function.
Are user zeroing profiles saved when updating riflescope’s firmware?
When updating firmware, user zeroing profiles are saved.
Why is the reticle off the centre after zeroing?
After zeroing the reticle may be slightly off the centre of the field of view which is normal and does not affect accuracy. If the riflescope is installed properly on your rifle, and the mount is well fixed too, you may not need to move the reticle a lot, thus the reticle will stay very close to the centre.
Does the riflescope save user zeroing profiles if it’s powered down for a long period of time?
Yes, user zeroing profiles are saved even if the battery is not installed in the riflescope for a long period of time.
My image is blurry when I use digital zoom. Is it a defect?
When using digital zoom, image is cropped so resolution will become lower and the image will look not as clear as when using the base (optic magnification).
It's a peculiarity of digital zoom in all devices, and it's not a defect.
Is it possible to upload new reticles to the riflescope?
You cannot do it by yourself. However you can send us a reticle type proposal and we will have it considered.
Can I use my Pulsar riflescopes on a SCAR 17s rifle known for its recoil?

When can I use the color mode?
Along with the day use, we suggest using color mode in early and late stages of twilight. As the illumination level drops, please switch to the night (b/w image) mode. You can also use an active IR Illuminator (either supplied or an extra one). when it gets too dark.

Night Vision Front Attachments
Do I need to zero my Forward?
The device does not need zeroing. If you have installed the attachment correctly and firmly (using the correct cover ring adapter), the impact point should match the aim point.
I cannot see the status bar when using higher magnification in my optical scope.
The field of view of the Forward is 6.3 degrees, so you can see the full status bar if your scope's field of view is close to this value.
Please switch to lower magnification or connect your attachment to a mobile device via the Stream Vision Application to see the status bar fully.
What is the external size of the Cover Ring Adapters?
The external size of the adapters is as follows:
FN 42 mm – 60 mm;
FN 50 mm – 69 mm;
FN 56 mm – 75 mm.
Can I use the parallax correction function in my day scope?
The eyepiece of the attachment is designed so that it may not adjust to the parallax settings of your day scope.
We do not recommmend using this function for short distances (such as 50m) to ensure the image is clear and focused.
