Pulsar expands its thermal riflescope lineup with the launch of the Trail 3 series – a new generation of compact, rail-mounted thermal riflescopes with an integrated laser rangefinder and advanced ballistic support.
Designed for professional hunting, forestry, and pest control, the Trail 3 delivers reliable performance in demanding real-world conditions where visibility, distance estimation, and shot precision are critical.
Built around a rugged monoblock housing, the Trail 3 combines thermal imaging, precise distance measurement, and ballistic correction in a compact, well-balanced form factor. The series is engineered for shooters who require confidence, accuracy, and intuitive control when visibility is limited and shot placement matters most.
The Trail 3 line consists of two models, each optimized for different environments and engagement distances.
The TRAIL 3 LRF XQ50 is optimized for short- to mid-range shooting in challenging weather and low-contrast environments. Featuring a highly sensitive thermal sensor with sNETD <15 mK, it delivers stable, clear imagery when fog, humidity, or dense vegetation reduce visibility.
This makes the XQ50 an ideal choice for forest hunting and mixed terrain, where reliability and image stability are more important than maximum range.
Role: Reliability in unstable weather
Ideal for: Forests, mixed terrain, short- to mid-range distances
The Trail 3 LRF XR50 is designed for hunters operating at medium to longer distances across open landscapes. Its high-resolution 640×480 thermal sensor and extended detection range deliver crisp image detail for confident target identification and precise shot placement at range.
The XR50 excels in wide terrain where reach, clarity, and detail are essential for effective engagement.
Role: Maximum reach and image detail
Ideal for: Open fields, rolling hills, large farmland, long-distance shots
Both Trail 3 models feature a built-in laser rangefinder with a measurement range of up to 1,200 meters, enabling fast and accurate distance readings in single-shot or scanning modes.
Paired with the integrated ballistic calculator, the riflescope displays a suggested point of aiming (SPOA) based on the user’s personalized ballistic profile, supporting confident first-round hits at known distances.
The round-shaped Picture-in-Picture mode digitally zooms only the reticle area while maintaining full situational awareness of the surrounding field of view — a critical advantage when tracking moving targets.
The Trail 3 is engineered to withstand demanding field use. Its monoblock construction ensures structural stability and high recoil resistance, supporting calibers with muzzle energy up to 6,000 joules.
Ergonomic controls, bilateral focusing wheels, and a redesigned graphic user interface ensure intuitive operation even in stressful or low-light conditions.
A Full HD 1920×1080 AMOLED display delivers a sharp, high-contrast image, while the integrated proximity sensor automatically switches off the display when not in use to preserve battery life and reduce light exposure.
Power is supplied by the quick-change Pulsar LPS7i rechargeable battery, providing up to 12 hours of operation and allowing rapid replacement in the field.
A rugged monoblock, mid-price thermal riflescope designed for reliable performance in challenging real-world hunting conditions, the Trail 3 combines ergonomic control, ballistic precision, and powerful LRF support – delivering precision in any condition.
