Terms and Conditions of the Pulsar Hunting Trip Contest

 

  1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Pulsar Hunting Trip Contest (“Contest”) organized by Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, UAB representing Pulsar brand (further – the Company or Pulsar) https://pulsarvision.com/registration/), each participant expressly and bindingly accepts and agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility to Participate and Win

Only natural persons aged 18 years or older are eligible to participate in the Contest and win.

The following individuals are ineligible to participate:

  • employees of the Company, its affiliated companies, cooperation partners, sponsors, or any individuals directly involved in the organization of the Contest;
  • first- and second-degree relatives, spouses, or registered partners (as defined under applicable civil partnership laws) of the aforementioned individuals;
  • representatives or employees of the governments of Russia, Belarus, and any other countries subject to international sanctions, as well as individuals and entities listed on any applicable sanctions lists, are not eligible to participate in this contest. This includes any individuals or entities subject to sanctions imposed by the European Union, the United Nations, or other relevant authorities.

Additional eligibility requirements, if applicable, are specified in section 3 (Contest Mode) and section 5 (Prize).

  1. Contest Mode

The contest begins with its official announcement at 9:00 AM CET (GMT+1) on 2025 February 27th and ends at 4:00 PM CET (GMT+1) on 2025 March 2nd.

How to Enter

To participate in the contest, entrants must scan the QR code placed on the Pulsar booth at the IWA exhibition and fill in the registration form.

One winner will be selected randomly from the eligible participants. The drawing will be conducted on 3 March 2025 using a computer-generated random selection process, to ensure fairness and impartiality.

The winner will be notified via direct email by the Pulsar Marketing Team within 3 business days after the drawing.

Cancellation of the Contest

Pulsar reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, security breaches, legal constraints, external disruptions such as fraud or manipulation attempts or any other factors beyond Pulsar’s reasonable control. Pulsar assumes no liability for such modifications or cancellations.

  1. Costs

Participation in the Contest is free of charge, with no additional costs apart from individual internet connection fees.

The winner is responsible for covering any additional costs related to the trip that are not explicitly included as part of the prize, including but not limited to:

  • visa application fees and compliance with entry requirements for South Africa;
  • necessary vaccinations and medical precautions required for travel;
  • travel insurance and any personal expenses incurred during the trip;
  • any other costs that are not explicitly stated as part of the prize.
  1. Prize Distribution

The prize consists of an exclusive trip for one person to South Africa (the “Trip”) arranged by Pulsar in cooperation with Tanzania Specialist B. V . The prize includes:

  • round-trip economy class flights for one person from the winner’s country of residence to South Africa;
  • as well as a travel package arranged in cooperation with Tanzania Specialist B. V. This package includes accommodation, meals, and a hunting tour. The package does not cover hunting tools, equipment, or any additional costs beyond the specified inclusions. You may find more information here.

The Trip will take place within the approximate timeframe of 2025 March / December. The Company reserves the right to adjust the dates in coordination with the winner if necessary.

The winner must provide his/her full name, address, and a valid passport or ID for necessary travel arrangements.

Prize Conditions:

  • there is no entitlement to a cash equivalent, exchange, transfer or any other substitution of the prize;
  • if the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize for any reason and this situation remains for more than 5 business days, Pulsar reserves the right to award the prize to an alternate winner;
  • the winner is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with any applicable visa and entry requirements for the Trip destination.
  • Pulsar is not liable for any additional expenses, including but not limited to travel insurance, medical expenses, or personal costs incurred during the Trip.
  1. Press & Promotion

By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that Pulsar has a legitimate interest in promoting the Contest and agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities, including but not limited to photos, videos, interviews, and social media posts. Also, to the publication of his/ her name and images in this context. The winner grants Pulsar a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use such promotional content for marketing purposes, including on Pulsar’s official website, social media channels, and other promotional materials.

If the winner objects to the use of their image or name for these purposes, they have a right to notify Pulsar in writing, and such objections will be considered in accordance with applicable data protection laws.   1. Data Protection

All personal data submitted by participants will be handled in strict compliance with applicable data protection regulations. The data will only be used for the purpose of administering the contest, including communicating / providing participants with the information about the results of the game organized by Pulsar, and the organization of the hunting trip to South Africa, also for the promotional purposes with regard to the Contest, as well as transfer of winner’s personal data to third parties in relation to fulfillment of necessary arrangements to provide the prize, and will be deleted thereafter unless personal data processing may be implemented for the direct marketing purposes if participant’s consent to process such personal data is given.   1. Legal Recourse

Pulsar assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, incomplete, or delayed registrations to the Contest due to technical or human errors.

Pulsar is not a travel organizer and does not professionally engage in such activities. It solely finances the Trip at its own expense and does not provide travel services. Please note that:

  • Pulsar’s sole responsibility is to purchase round-trip economy class flight tickets from the winner’s country of residence to South Africa;
  • all other aspects of the Trip, including flights, accommodation, meals, and the hunting tour, are provided by independent service providers. Pulsar assumes no liability for their services, and any complaints or issues must be directed to the respective service providers. Additionally, Pulsar is not responsible for any delays or disruptions related to flights.
  • Pulsar is not responsible for any travel disruptions, injuries, losses, or damages incurred by the winner during the Trip;
  • all services, including flights, accommodation, meals, and the hunting tour, are provided by independent service providers. Pulsar is not responsible for the quality, availability, or any issues arising from these services.

The winner acknowledges that any complaints, claims, or disputes regarding flights, accommodation, meals, transportation, hunting tour, or any other aspects of the Trip must be addressed directly to the respective service providers.

The Contest and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Lithuania.

By participating in this contest, entrants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and conditions.

Pulsar reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, provided such changes do not materially affect participants’ rights. Any updates will be published on the Contest registration page.
