As summer came to a close and the new hunting season began across Europe, Pulsar hosted its first-ever Journalists event—a perfect time for meeting, networking, and sharing stories. Eleven leading professionals from the European publishing industry, including editors-in-chief, video content creators, and passionate hunters, gathered in Lithuania to discover where and how Pulsar devices are brought to life.
These three words encapsulate the four unforgettable days spent in Lithuania and Latvia, the two Baltic countries where Pulsar innovation takes shape—from initial concept to final product. The journalists visited both of Pulsar factories, with one headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, and the other in Daugavpils, Latvia. Witnessing the intricate process of assembling complex thermal devices from smallest components left a lasting impression on the guests.
Pulsar’s Chief Marketing Officer, Liudas Abišala, shared the brand’s long and rich history, highlighting the enduring legacy of its founders. His presentation offered a deep dive into Pulsar’s values, history, and the human capital that drives the company forward. This introduction seamlessly led into an overview of the current product lineup and a sneak peek at some upcoming innovations.
The media representative didn’t just learn about Pulsar products—they got to test them firsthand. From product night testing to a competitive shooting range activity, the guests had plenty of opportunities to experience the capabilities of Pulsar devices in action.
Adding a dose of adrenaline to the program, the guests participated in a three-stage shooting tournament led by long-time Pulsar brand ambassadors Henrik Sproedt from Germany and Stefan Orman from Sweden. The challenges included targeting a running wild boar decoy using the Krypton 2 front attachment, utilizing the internal ballistic calculations in the compact housing of the Talion thermal riflescope, and unleashing precision with the Thermion 2 and Digex C50 riflescopes.
The competitions were both challenging and fun, culminating in a special prize for the winner from Spain; a new Axion Compact monocular with custom engraving.
Back from the range, Pulsar brand ambassador Henrik Sproedt delivered a captivating presentation that combined storytelling with a heartfelt confession. A PhD in Design & Innovation, owner and instructor at Jagdschule Grimbart, and a hunter for over 25 years, Henrik emphasized the importance of night vision and thermal gear for ethical hunting.
Reflecting on his first visit to Lithuania, he joked, “I thought I might disappear in the Lithuanian woods…” Yet he quickly became one of Pulsar’s earliest brand ambassadors, drawn by the company’s embrace of challenges and commitment to innovation.
This event wasn’t just about technology and hunting—it was also a culinary journey. Amidst the lush landscapes of the Lithuanian countryside, guests enjoyed delicious local food and shared stories around a campfire that stretched late into the night.
The event culminated in a dinner at the organic Red Brick restaurant, recently awarded a Michelin Green Star for gastronomy and sustainability. Hosted by Icelandic chef Arnór Ingi Bjarkason and his team, the dinner was the perfect ending to an unforgettable experience for both the guests and the Pulsar team.
